Sending of SMS messages from the Internet is a service which allows sending and receiving SMS messages from the site as follows www.velcom.by.
Description
Who can make use of the service
The service is rendered to all company’s subscribers.
Activation
To receive SMS messages from the site as follows www.velcom.by, you need to send an SMS message with the text websms start to 511.
The service operation
To send an SMS message to a subscriber who has the service activated, you need to type the text of the message and the subscriber number of the addressee in the special form in the right part of the web page.
The list of SMS commands of the service:
- websms start – to allow receiving SMS messages from the site as follows www.velcom.by;
- websms stop – to forbid receiving SMS messages from the site as follows www.velcom.by;
- websms status – to receive the current status;
- websms status 1хххххх (3хххххх, 6хххххх, 7ххххххх, 9хххххх) – to receive the current status for the set subscriber.
An SMS message sent from the site as follows www.velcom.by is of the following type: websms <the text of the message>.
Attention!
- The length of one SMS message in Cyrillic makes 70 symbols, in Latin – 160 symbols (including spaces). If the Latin coding is chosen, then letters of the Cyrillic alphabet are automatically converted into a Latin equivalent.
- FE “VELCOM” does not bear responsibility for the content of SMS messages sent from the site as follows www.velcom.by.
- Upon changing of a subscriber number, please, activate receiving of SMS messages again from the site as follows www.velcom.by.
Restrictions of the quantity of sent SMS messages:
- not more than 10 SMS messages a day from one IP address (computer);
- not more than 10 SMS messages a day to one subscriber number.
For the users exceeding the specified restrictions, the ban for sending SMS messages from the site as follows www.velcom.by is imposed. Besides, sending of SMS messages is banned from a number of public proxy servers.
For information of corporate networks users
Since many corporate networks are connected to the Internet through a proxy server, restriction of the quantity of SMS messages according to the IP address is imposed on the whole network, instead of separate computers. Therefore this individual restriction of the quantity of SMS messages is provided to the IP address for corporate computer networks (only for velcom corporate clients).
To set a limit for a separate network company’s management needs to send an application (on the letter-head) by fax 8 (017) 328 62 52. The IP address of the network (proxy server), the quantity of computers in the network, contact information of the organization management is specified in the application.
Prices
The service is rendered without the subscription fee and single payment for activation. The cost of an SMS request to 511 makes 460 roubles without VAT. The payment for sending SMS messages from the site as follows www.velcom.by is not charged.
