A New Format for “Free Standing Grand Piano”: a Music Battle at Cityhall!
Jul 12, 2017
A well-loved “free standing” grand piano will appear this Saturday at Cityhall within the framework of the festival Classic Music at Cityhall together with velcom. This year the project will be continued in an unconventional format of an improvised battle – there will be not a single but two pianos ready for the battle on 15 July from 10am to 12 pm.
Three years in a row a “free standing piano” does not only discover new names and unusual interpretations of well-known pieces of music but gives opportunity to all volunteers, i.e. adults and kids, professional musicians and starters to play favorite music on a “free standing” grand piano.
And at 8.30 pm there starts the second concert Classic Music at Cityhall together with velcom named Conductors of Mood. Fragments from light operas by Johann Strauss, Imre Kalman and orchestra music will be played during the night. Unforgettable voices of the National Chamber Choir of the Republic of Belarus will enhance the impression of the majesty of eternal classic music.
